Hya Sisters Cleaning Company is a small, family-owned studio based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. We built the business on repeat clients β not marketing budgets.
Daniel Coghlan spent nine years managing hotel housekeeping in the Chicago suburbs before starting Hya Sisters. The name comes from a fridge note his two aunts β the original "sisters" β left on his mother's kitchen after helping her recover from surgery: "Cleaned by the Hya sisters. Don't wreck it."
Today the company is still small on purpose. We cap ourselves at roughly 90 recurring households so the same team can serve the same home every visit. When we can't guarantee that, we don't take the account.
We are licensed and insured in the State of Illinois. Our teams pass a background check, a two-week hands-on onboarding, and are paid a living wage with paid time off β because turnover is the single biggest predictor of a bad clean.
The same lead cleaner on your account for at least twelve months, or we credit the difference.
EPA Safer-Choice or equivalent products by default. Traditional cleaners only on written request.
$2M general liability and janitorial bond. Certificate delivered on request within one business day.
Written checklist signed by the lead cleaner after each visit. 48-hour re-clean promise, no questions.
A small team, publicly named β because you should know who is walking into your home.
